Franck Provost Expert Nutrition – UPDATE

I have been using the shampoo and conditioner of the Franck Provost Expert Nutrition line for a while now, so I think a review is due.

To put it short, I like it! I mean obviously the gigantic bottles are not the most convenient to store in your bathroom, but what is in the bottles is actually quite good. The shampoo is a caramel colored, somewhat liquid formula that smells something like honey/caramel. In any case it is a rather sweet smell, and I have detected honey on the ingredient list. Personally, I love the smell, but I know many of you don’t like such a sweet scent. The conditioner is a white, not particularly thick crème, and it smells sweet very similarly to the shampoo.

A common nominator for both the products is that they are perhaps a bit more thin than expected, but still not overtly so. This is probably due to the fact that as a 750 ml bottle cost a mere 6-7 EUR, they were trying to be a bit economical and thinned out the formula. It is still good though, the only thing you need to make sure, is to apply the products liberally. This way the foam of the shampoo becomes rich and creamy, and also the conditioner delivers without problems.

On the good side there are no silicones and the products are not heavy on your hair. The INCI is indeed very short on both products. They wash out easily and leave no weight. At the end, my hair remains clean, soft, silky and glossy. All in all, very pleasant.

I am not saying that this is the hair care line of my dreams (I wonder if I will ever find that one), but it is a line that did not leave me deluded.
