Having normal/mixed but sensitive skin, with some proneness to acne and easily clogging pores I have tried it all, and very little has truly worked for me. Low range or high, I have experienced smaller periods of improvements and long ages of horrid skin (imagine a milky white complexion with teeny bumps and red spots. Always. Everywhere.) That is, until a pharmacist did not recommend for me to try La Roche Posay products. Interestingly, as far as face detergents, makeup removers and peeling products go my skin agrees with most. But when it comes to moisturizing, LRP is the only brand yet that has never let me down.
Now we remember my joyful raving about the Elizabeth Arden mineral powder foundation not too long ago. I stand by it, it is truly an amazing product I recommend to anyone. However, the container for more than 30 Euros lasted me about 2 months, and in my opinion that is a tad bit too little for too much. Ok, not unbearable, but the price/product quantity relationship could be better. Moreover, I wanted to simplify and make my morning routine even faster than moisturizer + powder foundation. The solution? Tinted Moisturizer.
Wearing tinted moisturizes is an old, and until now unrealized, dream of mine. My occasional try with other brands have failed miserably, therefore I always put the project back on the shelf. However, as LRP is the expert of sensitive skin, I reached for a tube in the lightest shade (01 Sand), and I have seen a miracle happen on my face. This paraben free, mineral water infused magic potion is amazing. My skin is absolutely smooth and soothed, pleasantly moisturized with an incredibly healthy glow. Having normal/mixed skin I wear this without my regular moisturizer under it, and it is just right this way. In addition, it also has SPF 15 (or 20, cannot recall at the moment). It gives protection, a glowy 'dewy' complexion and healthy smooth skin in one move. It simply does not get better than this. Amazing product.
Edit 08/10: Although some other LRP products still make out the fundamental core of my skin care routine (reviews of these will follow), I have not reached for the Hydreane TM for some time now. I will not completely write it off as it is a very good product. Most likely I am just distracted with all the new ways I try to slightly color and smoothen my face for daytime. So I will not completely forget about the Hydreane, but put it away temporarily for it to await its come back.

I've used it a couple of times, then ditched it since when I apply it it dries in a strange way on my skin. Very strange...
ReplyDeleteFor me it worked well, I am just not that into it now :D
